-Disney Research 2017 Animation Internship-

Here are just a few projects I had the pleasure of getting to work on during my year as an intern!

Magic ID: Groot Conduction Experience

Dance Anim Progress Reel

-Disney Research 2017 Internship-

Responsible for all Baby Groot animation
Baby Groot rig provided by Marvel

This project allowed users to use a “magic wand” that would control how fast or slow the dancing Baby Groot animation would play.

Because of this, animation needed to be done in 60fps.

- Anim Progress Reel -

Responsible for building a dance choreography from scratch using clips from YouTube and personal ref footage to fill in any gaps.

Magic Bench: AR

Magic Bench is an augmented reality viewing platform that utilizes the Kinect, Unity, and a haptic bench that provides feedback for interactions shown on screen.

-Disney Research 2017 Internship-

Responsible for animating wedding cake and sleigh featured in Disney’ Fairytale Weddings: Holiday Magic on Freeform

Snowball Fight: Haptics/Game Animation

Magic ID: Tinkerbell Experience

-Disney Research 2017 Internship-

Responsible for all animation and creating set design assets
Property of Disney Research

During my internship, I got to learn about many different ways animation can be implemented into projects- for instance, VR/AR/Robotics. Here are some short clips of a VR/Haptics project I got to work on.

-Disney Research 2017 Internship-

Responsible for creating various animation cycles of Tinkerbell

This project allowed users to use a “magic glove” to interact with AR characters such as Tinkerbell. With the glove, you can then tap on different parts of your body to let Tinkerbell know where to land.

ie: hand, shoulder, head
