Sammie Ma is a Character Animator and Previs Artist based in Los Angeles, CA with 8+ years of experience in virtual production pipelines.

Her work focuses on creature and character animation across real-time environments, including film, AR/VR, and animatronics. Sammie’s experience in the industry so far has shaped a broader interest in how animation extends beyond just feature film. She is interested in continuing to work on projects that explore new ways that animation can be authored, implemented, and experienced.

Outside of work, Sammie spends time exploring Maya, Unreal Engine, and Blender through personal projects, with a particular interest in how animation and technology work together and influence each other.

In her free time, she enjoys DIY house projects, finding cute cafés, playing video games, and watching the NY Yankees.
